Wiring Harness Braiding Machinery

Higher profitability and productivity are the key benefits of the Cobra wiring harness braiding machine.

This is achieved in two areas. Firstly, the high speed of the machine. For a comparison with your existing machine speeds, please contact Cobra. Secondly large packages of yarn or wire can be used which reduce runout wastage and save on machine downtime.

For braiding textile yarns such as pvc covered nylons we recommend using a O.7 lb or 0.32kg paper tube package which is double the size of the standard O.3lb or 0.13kg harness braider yarn supplied on a paper tube. This larger package can be sourced in North America or Europe.

For braiding wire our harness braiding machinery is capable of handling braid wire as specified under Federal Specification QQ-B-575C. Cobra braiding machines also use the globally recognised Wardwell S24 bobbin for wire braiding. This holds 2.2 lb or 1kg of wire.

Machines are available in carrier sizes 16, 24, 32, 36, 40, 48 and 64. Other sizes are available if required.

Applications include harnesses used in construction and mining plant, trains, engines, civilian aircraft and military aircraft.
